How do I create new users?

This guide shows you, as a Company Admin, how to create new users in StrategyFrame, assign them directly to a team, and which additional steps are required to grant the user full access to all booked modules (Boards, Academy, Market Intelligence).

Prerequisites

  • You must have Company Admin rights.
  • Access to the Administration menu in StrategyFrame.
  • For Market Intelligence: your company must have booked the Market Intelligence module, and you need access to the Market Intelligence Admin.

Part 1: Creating a new user in StrategyFrame

  1. Navigate to the Administration menu in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click on Users.
  3. In the top right corner, click Create User.
  4. Fill in the required fields:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address
  5. The Company is already pre-selected by default and does not need to be changed.
  6. (Optional, but recommended) Assign the user to one or more Teams directly during creation. This way, the user is immediately ready to collaborate (e.g. on OKRs).
  7. Save the new user.

Tip: Team assignment can be done later, but handling it during creation saves time.

Part 2: Informing the user about login

After creation, the user does not receive an automatic invitation email. You must actively inform them:

  1. Send the new user the Login Manual (StrategyFrame Login Manual).
  2. Ask them to follow the described steps to log into the platform for the first time.

Part 3: Assigning the user to a board

Creating a user alone does not grant access to specific boards. You must additionally assign the user to the relevant StrategyFrame boards.

  1. Open the desired Board.
  2. Click the Pencil Icon to enter edit mode.
  3. Add the user via Add User and assign the appropriate permissions.

Part 4: Access to the Academy (optional)

If the user needs access to the StrategyFrame Academy, no admin action is required. The user requests access themselves:

  1. The user opens the Academy.
  2. Inside the Academy, they can request access to the desired courses with a simple button click.
  3. Approval is then handled by the Academy team.

Note: Please inform the user that this step must be performed independently within the Academy.

Part 5: Adding the user to Market Intelligence (optional)

If your company has booked Market Intelligence, the user must be created there manually and separately. Creating a user in StrategyFrame does not automatically propagate to Market Intelligence.

  1. Open the Market Intelligence Admin within the frame.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, go to Administration → User Management → Users.
  3. You will see a table listing all existing users.
  4. Click the New button at the top.
  5. Fill in the following details:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address
    • Role – typically Superuser.
    • Language – the user's preferred interface language.
  6. Save the entry.

The user can now access Market Intelligence.

Important: Without this manual step, the user will have no access to Market Intelligence, even with an active StrategyFrame account.
